The Serpens constellation is formed only by 3 main stars. There are currently 64 discovered stars total in the region inside its perimeter.

The constellation of Sextans represents a sextant, an old astronomical tool that was used to measure the position of the stars. It is found in the second quadrant of the southern sky.
