The Boötes Void is one of the strangest places in the universe—a vast region hundreds of millions of light-years across that’s almost completely empty. While a typical part of space is packed with galaxies, this void has barely anything. It’s so large that if the Milky Way were at its center, we wouldn’t have seen another galaxy for billions of years.
