Most people think midnight is the best time to stargaze, but that’s not always true. The darkest skies happen when the Moon is below the horizon and light pollution is minimal. If you’re looking for planets, they often rise just after sunset or before dawn. For deep-sky objects like galaxies and nebulae, the best views happen when they’re highest in the sky, which can be earlier or later depending on the season.
